"TWILIGHT TORONTO"
Mark Fordham is a multiple award-winning artist; including Emmy, Gemini and Canadian Screen Award nominations and wins for Best Visual Effects. Mark brings years of TV and Film industry accomplishments to his fine art painting practice.
Mark's favourite Toronto locations are the subject of his current series. Each large oil painting in this exhibition has brushed into it a mysterious and sometimes foreboding narrative, influenced I’m sure in part by being raised in a home with a father who was a homicide detective. His father exposed his young son to many grisly scenes by often nonchalantly leaving crime scene photos on the family’s kitchen table.
His father is now the feature of a new play titled the “Nine Lives of Ross Fordham”, based on stories relayed by Mark Fordham.
