This series of painting encompasses three paintings measuring 30" x 40" that document the few remaining buildings left over from the Leaside's contribution to both WW1 and WW2. Leaside's contribution was mighty from training WW1 pilots, building of bombs and artillery bullets to radar and optics equipment. Many or most do not know Leaside's military history and being one that grew up in Leaside I wanted to capture this before all signs are erased.
The first is titled 'The Hunt' and shows a mother fox and two offspring on the hunt and the building in behind stands at the corner of Parkhurst and Laird Drive and is slated for demolition.
