A mandala is a highly organized image that represents enlightened mind. It can also represent the entire universe. Mandalas are often used as an aid to meditation on the forces of decay and destruction, as well as the inherent wisdom and sacredness of life.
In this series, the artist - a lifelong practitioner of meditation - invites viewers to reflect on more disorderly matters: “mandalas of mayhem.” Contemplate chaos and watch the mind naturally attempt to create order. It’s up to you.
