INTRODUCTION
The cacophony of mass media informs Canadian artist Jeff Rosen’s explosive free-associative style. His category-defying paintings capture impressions of sound bites and meditations on the nature of cultural consciousness - often revealing faces, figures, animals, totems, and non-existent entities, allowing a different experience with each viewing.
A native of Montreal, Jeff is both a painter, and the multi-award winning creator of numerous international hit children's television series. Series include Bo on the Go, Poko, Animal Mechanicals,The Mighty Jungle, Pirates!, Monster Math Squad, and Space Ranger Roger. Jeff was the executive producer/showrunner on Lunar Jim,and principal writer and story editor of the iconic Theodore Tugboat. Jeff’s programs have been viewed in over 200 countries and translated into numerous languages.
Jeff was the founding creative partner of WildBrain (formerly DHX Media), a global children’s content and brands company, recognized for such high-profile properties as Peanuts, Teletubbies, Strawberry Shortcake, Caillou, Inspector Gadget, and the acclaimed Degrassi franchise.
Jeff splits his life between the east coast of Canada and Venice, California.
