Glenn Wolff
Glenn Wolff grew up in Traverse City, Michigan. He studied Printmaking at Northwestern Michigan College and received his BFA from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. From 1979 to 1987 he lived in New York City working as an illustrator for the New York Times, the Central Park Conservancy, the New York Zoological Society, Audubon, the Village Voice, and numerous book publishers. Glenn returned to Northern Michigan in 1987 where he concentrated on fine art and selected book illustration projects. His book collaboration with Michigan author Jerry Dennis "It's Raining Frogs and Fishes" received the Best Outdoor Book Award in 1993 from the Outdoor Writers Association of America, and his 1996 collaboration "Flight of the Reindeer" with Life Magazine writer Robert Sullivan will be re-released for Christmas of 2010 by Skyhorse Publishing. Glenn has been a visiting artist for numerous environmental organizations including the Great Lakes Bioneers, the North American Prairie Conference, and the Kellogg Foundation Food and Society Conference. His fine art has been shown frequently throughout the U.S. and Canada and is in numerous private and public collections.
